Front Door

Create a new first impression for those visiting by creating a new look on the front door. Trend has shown that even homes that lean cautious on style can benefit from a vivid front door. Just because it’s bold, doesn’t mean it has to be bright. The most used tone this year is Peppercorn, a just shy of black hue. Also making the list are green, red, yellow and blue. Pulling in a color from a flower or tree nearby will give you a good way to tie your whole look together. If you have a yard full of mixed color flowers, that’s a signal to go neutral. If it’s just greenery and shrubs, pick a complementary color.

Floors are often left in their virgin state despite paint on every surface. Even if you are looking at a bare wood or concrete floor, take the time to sand it and put some paint or stain down. It will enhance the color on your floor and create a finished looking product.
