In this case study, we see an in-depth look at how CertaPro Painters revamps and refreshed an industrial warehouse ceiling.
PREPARATIONS:
Our crews were equipped with proper Personal Protective Equipment, including Hard Hats, Ear Protection, Eye Protection, Reflective Vests, Steel Toe Boots and harnesses. These were necessary both due to the warehouse environment, and because high lifts were used to access the ceiling for painting.
CONDITIONS:
We coordinated with our client to work around the operating hours of the warehouse in order to minimize interruptions and maximize warehouse productivity. This meant that most of the work occurred on weekends and at nights. Anything we started had to be completed before operations resumed the next morning, so we could only prep and paint small areas at a time.
PAINTING:
Safety First – The ceiling was covered in loose paint that had to be removed. Moreover, a warehouse environment can be a dangerous place, so extra precautions had to be taken every night.
Power Washing – The project began with power washing areas of ceiling and collecting any chipped paint and debris.
Manual Removal – Once that was done, our team used lifts and harnesses to manually remove any peeling paint remaining on the ceiling. The job was taxing for our workers and time consuming for our client, but this had to be done right!
Repainting – Only after all paint was removed, were we finally able to repaint the ceilings with a fresh coat of modern white.
Final Walkthrough – CertaPro Painters showed all areas of improvement to the property owner. At CertaPro, your satisfaction is everything to us!
