Child Development Center
CertaPro Painters® of Central and North Dallas
Child Development Center
This project involved renovating a private Child Development Center in Addison, TX. CertaPro Painters® of Central and North Dallas was hired to paint the interior walls, hallways, doorways, and doors. We also removed the popcorn from the ceiling for a modern look. Before our team could paint the walls and re-texture the ceiling, we had to coordinate with management to work around school hours after the students left for the day to prep the area and make sure any hazardous material was out of the way of the children. The client wanted a color change to their interior from its original beige color to a creamy white color with directional light blue lines to highlight the walls.
CHALLENGES:
Large commercial projects provide their own set of challenges. For this project, our CertaPro Painters had to coordinate with management to work around the school schedule and arrive after the students left for the day to prep the area, paint, and clean the area, so it would be safe for children the next day.
CONDITIONS:
- Cleaning – This facility had dirty and sticky surfaces covered in crayon, food, and normal childcare wear and tear.
- Popcorn Ceiling – The ceiling had the traditional popcorn texture.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
- Ceiling Retexturing – We had to remove the popcorn ceiling for a more modern look.
- Interior Paint – We had to prime the area with coats of white paint and light blue paint for the highlights.
- Prep – Cleaning the surface for a smooth canvas when we apply the new coats of paint.
