Commercial School Painting in Encinitas

CertaPro Painters of Carlsbad was hired to paint a school in Encinitas including a very large patio cover that needed to be sandblasted in order to address the major peeling issue the cover had developed over time. The project was slated for 2021 but the school could not work it into their holiday and school season and the job was put on hold. In 2022, we were asked to paint all of the 80,000 square feet of stucco, all doors and gates, light poles, and playground equipment as well as perform stucco repair. The school gave us 14 days to complete the project as the school was currently vacant and was opening back up in September. Our team of expert commercial painters managed to complete the work in 11 days.
Before the work began…
The schools patio cover was in horrible shape. Over 200 feet long, a majority of it had several different paints on it from previous painting attempts and the paint system had failed. the stucco was stress fractured in multiple locations and required a three-person team working for 5 continuous days to complete all the repair. Gates and fences were peeling with multiple paint system failures as well.
The project required a complete sandblast of the patio cover back to bare metal. Access to parts of this required a scissor lift. Our team was excited about the challenge of this project and the timeline we had to complete it.
After the painting and stucco repair was completed…
When the work was finished the school was completely transformed from faded and drab to fresh and bright. Our team of 18 painters for this project completed this flawlessly with time to spare.
