Commercial Case Study
Amari Restaurant
Project: The Amari Restaurant came to us in May 2024 to paint the exterior of the building. The exterior was worn down and needed a paint refresh. In some areas, paint was flaking and peeling. The paint was sun-bleached in some areas of the building. Shingles on the rear of the building were sun baked. Some of the trim was rotted and needed to be replaced.
Process: The project entailed a full building wash using eco-friendly chemicals. We washed the rear shingles of the building with the same chemical to bring them back to a more natural appearance. These shingles turned black from the sun burning them. The project also involved scraping and sanding to remove loose or peeling paint and stains. We had to replace some trim boards and water table boards that were rotted with new pine boards. We painted the aluminum gutters along with the metal handrail at the entrance to the restaurant. We wanted to make sure it matched the new color scheme. We also stained a rear entrance mahogany steps, landing, and railing. The building went from a tan color scheme to a gray color scheme. They had to keep the aluminum window frames in the old tan color scheme because that was part of the original window. Our main challenge for this project was working around the hours of the restaurant. The restaurant opened at 4:00 PM with workers getting there around 2:00 PM. This was not that difficult though and the restaurant was very easy to work with.
Result: The entire project took us a week and a half to complete. The customer was satisfied with the finished result!
