In May of 2019, CertaPro Painters of North Shore and Cape Ann were hired to repaint the trim on a large multi-family complex in Wakefield, MA. This 24-unit building was relatively new, but its trim was in need of its first repaint. The original paint was flaking, peeling and showing stains from water run-off. The overhang on the back of the building was severely cracked due to building settling.

The complex’s owners chose to go with CertaPro Painters over their competitors due to their detailed proposal and pricing.

The main objective of the project was to repaint all of the white trim. But there were some serious issues with the area the building was located in. The complex was on sloped terrain, next to power lines, proximity next to busy street, and numerous tenants that needed access to driveway during all times of the day.

To solve these problems, CertaPro used a 135’ aerial boom lift. We also secured a police detail for Main Street as the boom lift required placement on street and limited traffic flow to one lane.

Over 4 days, we used two coats of premium paint in order to ensure the longest lasting project possible due to the costs of equipment needed to access all trim. We also replaced sections of rotting trim with new boards and performed overhang ceiling repairs prior to painting.

In the end the clients had this to say about working with CertaPro, “They were very professional and the communication was excellent throughout the project. We had not one complaint from 24 tenants during an intrusive project.”

CertaPro Painters of North Shore and Cape Ann are excited to work with this client for 2 more jobs in 2019.
