Multi-Story Car Park in Calgary, AB
This Parkade in Downtown Calgary was well worn and used before CertaPro Painters® of Calgary & Central Alberta were contacted. Our job involved refreshing this multi-story car park with a complete powerwash, repaint of floor and walls, and redoing the stall numbering and lines on all four levels of the parkade. The scale of this project may seem intimidating, but the professionals at CertaPro are well equipped to handle assignments of great magnitude and variety, while still maintaining high standards.

CHALLENGES:Stenciling numbers for each parking stall was both time consuming and detail oriented. Amateur painters might have suffered, but the professionals at CertaPro Painters® got it done right.
Scaffolding had to be used to gain access to elevated areas out of reach for the team.
Projects of this size require proper coordination within the crew. The car park was made up of four different levels, each requiring a thorough walk-through at the start and end of painting.
CONDITIONS:
Aged Property – The parking facility was well worn and very dirty after housing hundreds of cars over an extended period of time.
Uniformity – All posts, obstructions, and parking stalls needed to be given a fresh coat of paint on all four levels of the facility
Vehicles – As you can see in the images below, special care was taken to ensure no paint came into contact with any vehicles housed in the facility.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
Prep – Before painting could begin, our CertaPro team walked through the facility to audit which areas required special attention. For example, some areas required scaffolding. The entire facility needed to be powerwashed before any painting could begin.
Paint – The walls were all painted white while posts and obstructions were painted safety yellow. This fresh coat of paint was brighter than the original color in order to aid drivers in avoiding potential accidents.
Details – All parking stalls were given freshly stenciled numbers and painted parking lines. The stairwell was also given a gray coat of paint to cover the worn metallic flooring.
