Our painters were recently contacted to renovate a four floor stairwell. The stairs were in need of a new floor coating. This specialty project only took our team of painting contractors a few days to complete. You can learn more details about this project below.
About the Project:
We were working for a Commercial Property Manager in one of their busy shared office buildings in 4 floors of stairwell from the parkade to each floor.
Condition of Facility:
As these stairs get a lot of use, the floor coating was seeing significant wear and the stair edge grip tape was lifting and peeling along the edges. At CertaPro, we knew that we could restore the stairs to their previous glory by utilizing proper prep techniques before adding new coatings.
Project Involvement:
A few of the special challenges on this project were:
- Ensuring the surface was properly prepared to receive the two-part epoxy floor coating and working quickly to apply the product evenly before it began to harden.
- Working quickly and efficiently to not have the primary stairwell closed for too long to minimize inconvenience for tenants.
