Church of the Risen Savior – Commercial Religious Facility Painting Project
In May 2021, the CertaPro Painters of South Metro team painted the exterior of the Church of the Risen Savior in Burnsville, MN.
The church spanned a total of 30,000 square feet of concrete block that was neglected for over 15 years. There was an extensive amount of peeling located on the west and south sides of the building along with several areas that had effervescence. The building was white upon arrival and the customer requested to keep the color white. The entire facility had to be power washed and scraped prior to the application of paint. There were numerous areas that required caulking along major masonry cracks. The church continued to hold services during the duration of the project. The sanctuary was located on the east side of the church with attendees entering from the north building. We had to develop a work schedule around the services, funerals, and other events in order to show our respect for the Church and its patrons. Lifts were required with special decking material to prevent any damage to the meticulously groomed grounds. Power washers needed extension poles in order to reach the high areas of the buildings. The spring weather in Minnesota produced remarkably high winds causing an adjustment in our application techniques. We had to do a low-pressure application while spraying paint to minimize overspray with the excessive-high winds.
The project took a total of 10 days. Below you can see some pictures of the team at work and their final result!
