Case Study: Narberth Family Medicine & Acupuncture Center Interior Painting

Project Overview

We had the opportunity to partner with Narberth Family Medicine & Acupuncture Center to repaint their treatment space – creating an environment that reflects the calm, healing experience they provide to patients every day.

Led by Dr. Andrew M. Lipton, the practice has been serving the Main Line for decades with a focus on holistic, patient-centered care. They combine traditional medicine with acupuncture and alternative therapies to treat the whole body, not just symptoms.

The Objective

Our goal wasn’t just to paint the walls. We aimed to create a space that:

  • Feels calm, grounded, and restorative the moment you walk in
  • Aligns with the practice’s holistic approach to healing
  • Refreshes the patient experience without disrupting daily operations

The Approach

To get it right, we brought in our color consultant, Susan Newcomer, to guide the selection process. Together, we worked with the client to:

  • Choose tones that promote relaxation and balance
  • Ensure consistency across treatment rooms and common areas
  • Create a cohesive look that supports both function and feeling

Challenges

One of the biggest hurdles? They rarely close. That meant:

  • Working around an active medical practice
  • Coordinating carefully to avoid disrupting patient care
  • Putting in extended hours and off-hour shifts to stay on schedule

This wasn’t a typical 9–5 project; it required flexibility, communication, and commitment from the entire team to execute properly.

The Result

After our efforts, the fully-updated space now:

  • Feels intentional, calming, and professional
  • Enhances the overall patient experience
  • Reflects the quality of care Narberth Acupuncture delivers

The Takeaway

Great painting isn’t about the final look alone, it’s about understanding the purpose of the space and the client’s needs. In this case, it meant aligning color, timing, and execution with a practice dedicated to helping people feel better every day.
