Bold Exterior Refresh for Residential Parking Deck

In April 2025, CertaPro Painters® of Broward County completed a bold and visually striking repaint of the 10-story parking deck at Oaklyn Apartments, an upscale residential community in Oakland Park, FL.

With 10,000 square feet of paintable surface and an ambitious color gradient, the project required careful coordination, vibrant color precision, and minimal disruption to daily operations.

The result is a vibrant, high-visibility structure that redefines the look and feel of its surroundings. This case study highlights CertaPro Painters® of Broward’s ability to handle complex, large-scale projects with a balance of precision, safety, and creativity.

PROJECT SCOPE:

The client approached our team with a clear vision: to restore the parking deck’s original color vibrancy and make a powerful visual statement within the neighborhood. Over time, the deck’s bold palette—featuring a gradient from vivid orange to bright yellow, along with deep accent walls—had faded under Florida’s intense sun and frequent rain.

We developed a custom painting plan that included surface prep, careful color matching, and strategic execution across all 10 stories. Working closely with Sherwin-Williams, we sourced high-performance coatings specifically formulated to retain vibrancy in harsh weather conditions. The project scope included repainting the entire exterior, ensuring that the gradient and accents were restored to their original visual impact.

CHALLENGES & SOLUTIONS:

Executing a repaint on an active 10-story parking structure required precise planning and flexible access strategies. To safely reach all surfaces, our team utilized a combination of boom lifts and swing stages, overcoming access limitations without sacrificing safety or finish quality.

A key logistical challenge was keeping the parking deck operational throughout the project. To accomplish this, we partnered with the client to implement a thorough Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) plan, ensuring minimal disruption to both vehicles and pedestrians while maintaining full project momentum.
