While the structure itself remained solid, time had taken its toll on key interior elements. From damaged trim to cracked horsehair plaster ceilings with intricate detail, this project required more than just fresh paint, it called for thoughtful restoration and expert craftsmanship.

Tackling the Details: Carpentry, Ceiling Repair & More

The scope included painting, staining, drywall repair. One standout challenge was a damaged piece of door trim featuring an ornate historic profile. Our team sent the original piece to a specialty millwork restoration service to have it precisely replicated. In the meantime, we created a custom temporary insert that allowed the door to function during the interim.

Another significant challenge was the ceiling constructed from horsehair plaster, a material rarely used today. Our painters carefully scraped and prepped the fragile surface, then restored it with a fresh coat of paint, preserving its architectural details while giving it a clean, refreshed finish.
