While we strive to begin your project on the scheduled start date, factors such as weather conditions or adjustments to previous projects can occasionally cause changes.
If any scheduling changes arise, our team will reach out promptly to keep you informed.
Preparing for Your Exterior Painting Project
To help ensure your project runs safely, efficiently, and on schedule, please complete the following preparations before our crew arrives:
Foliage: Trim bushes at least 12 inches away from the house or surfaces to be painted. Remove vines near or attached to the home. If trimming is not possible, we will do our best to paint behind them but cannot guarantee complete coverage in those areas.
Windows: Close all windows securely before pressure washing begins. If you have experienced leaks around windows or doors, please let your Job Site Supervisor know. We recommend placing towels around windows prone to leaks as water may enter during pressure washing.
Decks & Porches: Remove all small items and fabric materials from porches and decks before we pressure wash or stain.
Pets: Keep pets away from the work area. If there are any gate, latch, or door instructions related to your pets, please share them with your Job Site Supervisor when we arrive.
Property Access: Ensure gates are unlocked, and provide any necessary lockbox or entry codes for areas included in your project.
Water & Electricity: We may need access to outdoor water spigots and electrical outlets. Please let your Job Site Supervisor know where these are located.
Parking: If your neighborhood has parking restrictions, please inform us in advance. For properties with limited parking, please recommend the best available parking options.
Need Assistance? If you are unable to complete these preparations, please let us know. We are happy to help, though additional charges may apply.
HOA Guidelines: If your neighborhood is governed by an HOA, please confirm any color guidelines or restrictions before we begin your project.
What to Expect: Our Exterior Project Services
When you hire CertaPro Painters® of Austin, TX for your exterior painting project, you can expect the following services to keep your property protected and organized throughout the process:
- Furniture Relocation: We will move large patio or porch furniture away from the work area, grouping it in the center of the patio, yard, or another clear space. Please note that some weight restrictions may apply.
- Furniture Protection: Any furniture that remains near the work area will be carefully covered with plastic and/or painter’s drop cloths to protect it during the project.
- Furniture Reset: Once your project is complete, we will return any moved patio or porch furniture to its original location.
- Cleanup: We will remove all trash, leftover materials, and empty paint cans from your property and handle proper disposal.
- Leftover Paint: Any remaining paint will be left on-site for your future touch-ups and records.
Walkthrough & Project Communication
At CertaPro Painters® of Austin, TX, we want you to feel confident and satisfied with your completed project. That’s why we prioritize clear communication and a thorough final walkthrough before payment is collected.
- Completion Updates: Your Job Site Supervisor or our Production Manager will let you know the expected day and time of project completion.
- Final Walkthrough: Once the project is complete, your Job Site Supervisor will walk through the home with you to review the work, address any questions, and ensure you’re fully satisfied with the results. Your Supervisor will be your main point of contact throughout the project, with our Production Manager available for additional support if needed.
- Final Steps: After the walkthrough, you will be asked to sign a copy of the job proposal and provide payment to the Job Site Supervisor. If you’re happy with the results, we would greatly appreciate a Google review!
Please plan to meet with your Job Site Supervisor at the end of the project to ensure everything meets your expectations.
