Commercial Project Highlight
Mt. Carmel Baptist Church
In this case study, we recap a commercial painting project that was completed in February 2021 for the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. We detail some of the challenges that our painting crew faced and share some before and after photos below.
Describe the condition of the facility/surfaces at the time work began.
The church exterior had been neglected for many years which led to excessive peeling of paint. The customer wanted to repaint the exterior and change the color.
What did the project involve?
- Pressure washing
- Caulking
- Two coats of paint
How long did the project take, start to finish?
The project was completed in one week.
Were there any special challenges involved?
The windows on the front of the church provided a challenge to reach the top of the front siding. We could not put a ladder on the windows.
Did the project require any special equipment or techniques?
We ended up using scaffolding and a 60ft ladder to reach the top.
Which paint was used for the project?
Sherwin Williams, SuperPaint SW 2832 Colonial Revival Gray
Very professional and talented painters. Worked very hard to get our project completed before cold weather hit again. I highly recommend CertaPro Painters of Asheville and Western NC.
