Medical Office Exterior Painting Project in Winston-Salem
Project: A customer reached out to us for help to transform the exterior of their medical office in Winston-Salem which involved restoring corroded metal clad columns and steel railings.
Process: Since the metal clad columns and steel railings on the building were badly corroded by the elements, our crew began the project cleaning the affected surfaces to remove any dirt, debris, and loose rust. We then sanded the surfaces to remove all remaining rust, ensuring a smooth and even surface for the primer and paint to adhere to. After the surfaces were prepared, we applied a Rust Inhibitive primer that is suitable for structural steel surfaces. This primer provides corrosion resistance and prepares the surfaces for the final coat of paint. Finally, we applied two topcoats of a direct to metal paint that provided resistance to grease, oil, and water. This paint is specifically designed for metal surfaces, and it creates a durable barrier that will prevent further deterioration.
The restored columns and railings look like new, and the building’s exterior now has a fresh and clean appearance. The customer was very pleased with the outcome of the project.
