Brookside Townhomes Exterior Painting Project in Winston-Salem

Project: In June 2024, the CertaPro Painters® of Winston-Salem team embarked on a comprehensive exterior painting project for the Brookside Townhomes in Winston-Salem. This extensive project involved transforming 10 blocks of townhomes, with each block comprising 10 units. The exterior of the buildings had suffered significant weather damage, requiring thorough preparation and diverse painting techniques to restore and refresh the community.

Process: Our process began with a comprehensive soft wash to remove accumulated dirt, grime, and mildew from all surfaces, ensuring a clean and smooth base for painting. We addressed multiple surface types, each requiring specific paint and application methods. Our team painted the building’s vinyl siding blue and the brick surfaces white using both spray and roll-on techniques to ensure even coverage and a smooth finish. The metal security doors were painted yellow using brush painting techniques to ensure precision. The project also included painting the shutters, front doors, gutters, downspouts, and soffits in black to blend seamlessly with the overall color scheme.

In addition to the diverse painting requirements, the project required meticulous coordination with the property manager and tenants. Effective communication was essential to minimize disruptions and ensure a smooth workflow. Our team maintained ongoing dialogue with the property manager and tenants to coordinate schedules and address any concerns promptly.

The project was executed over six weeks, from start to finish, adhering to a strict timeline to ensure timely completion. Our crew worked diligently, showing up every day and maintaining a clean work environment throughout the process. The successful transformation of the Brookside Townhomes not only enhanced the aesthetic appeal of the buildings but also contributed to the overall value and longevity of the property.
