Winston-Salem Visitors Center Interior Painting Project
Project: In June 2024, CertaPro Painters® of Winston-Salem was tasked with rejuvenating the interior of the historic Winston-Salem Vistors Center. The project scope included painting all interior walls, exposed metal air ducts, and applying dry-erase paint in the conference room.
Process: Upon our initial inspection, we noted that the facility’s interior required significant attention. The walls and air ducts were in poor condition, with peeling paint that detracted from the overall appearance and welcoming atmosphere of the visitors center. The preparation phase involved thoroughly cleaning, sanding, and smoothing the surfaces to remove all peeling paint and debris, ensuring a pristine base for the new paint.
In the main foyer, all the walls and exposed air ducts were painted a classy neutral shade that instantly revitalized the space, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere. The walls in the conference room were painted blue, creating a professional and calming environment conducive to meetings and presentations. Applying the dry-erase paint in the conference room was particularly challenging due to its complex, multi-step process requiring precision to ensure an even and smooth finish. Our team of professional painters meticulously prepped the wall to ensure it was perfectly smooth and then carefully rolled on the dry-erase paint in multiple coats to avoid any uneven surfaces or imperfections.
We collaborated with the team at the Visitors Center to ensure minimal disruptions to the building’s hours of operation. The project started in June 2024, and thanks to careful planning and execution, CertaPro Painters® of Winston-Salem completed this job in four days. The newly painted walls and air ducts gave the facility a fresh look, while the dry-erase wall in the conference room added a functional and modern touch.
