Sam launched his career—and his first business—at just 20 years old, running the CollegePro Painters franchise in central Columbus, Ohio. After two successful seasons, he was invited to join the CollegePro corporate team, where he trained as a professional business coach. For the next three years, Sam recruited, trained, and mentored young entrepreneurs across Ohio and Michigan, helping them launch and manage their own painting businesses.
In 2016, Sam founded CertaPro Painters® of Washington, DC, which has since become the largest residential painting company in the city (source: Sherwin-Williams). Under his leadership, the company has earned a world-class Net Promoter Score and completed some of DC’s most complex and high-profile commercial projects. Sam credits this success to his dedicated team and their consistent execution of the Certainty Service System, ensuring every customer receives a seamless, personalized experience.
When he’s not on a job site or in the office, Sam enjoys unwinding at Lincoln Park in Capitol Hill, building motorcycles and furniture in his workshop, and getting lost in a good sci-fi novel.
