Commercial Shop Painting Project in Georgetown
We worked with Eastbanc, Inc, one of the largest property owners in Georgetown, to refresh 8 different locations in the heart of Georgetown on M St NW. We didn’t repaint storefronts but we did repaint the rest of the building. You can view more details below.
About the Project
When we arrived at the location, soffits were peeling and rusting, windows needed glazing and repainting, and the brick was peeling and needed scraped, primed, and painted
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
We completed multiple painting and light carpentry services on each building.
SPECIAL CHALLENGES
Being in the heart of Georgetown, there were many challenges with coordinating access and timing with tenants and the city. We setup barriers around workspaces and directed pedestrian traffic around the worksite.
For the Aritzia building, we had to permit the closure of the parking lane and sidewalk, use an 80′ boom lift, and setup and provide traffic control and flaggers to direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic around the worksite.
PROJECT TIMELINE
We were able to complete all 8 buildings within 10 days of work. A very quick turnaround to minimize disruption for the building tenants and the pedestrians.
