Camp Hope – The PTSD Foundation of America

Our team was honored to partner with Camp Hope to make a meaningful difference in the lives of veterans by updating the exterior of four buildings. We gathered four dedicated teams to paint the exteriors of the main office, three residential buildings, and the doors of the activities building. With PPG Paints generously donating all paint, and our team covering materials and labor, this project came to life with a spirit of giving and community.
What We Painted Each building received a fresh look with carefully selected colors, symbolizing renewal and hope. We painted the main office and residential buildings in “Prairie Dust” (PPG1102-4), complemented by “Fossil Stone” (PPG1102-2) for the main building’s upper section. The trim was painted in “Oatmeal” (PPG1023-1), with doors in “Smoke Blue” (PPG1156-5) and railings in “Black Magic” (PPG1001-7NG). We also stained the ramps, porches, and steps in “Timberline 822-05” and power washed each area to ensure a clean and polished look.
A Team Effort One team, led by Frank, began the project by power washing key areas on Saturday, 9/28. The following Monday, three additional teams joined for the painting and staining process. Led by Mauricio, Eduardo, and David, the teams tackled each building, completing the work by Thursday, 10/3. Frank’s team handled the power washing for Buildings 2, 4, and the Main Office. Mauricio’s crew painted and stained Building 2, Eduardo’s team managed the Main Office, Building 4, and the blue doors, and David’s crew completed the main building.
Community Impact The team at Camp Hope welcomed us for lunch, allowing us to connect with residents and volunteers, reaffirming the reason for our visit. Supporting the compassionate team at Camp Hope was a humbling reminder of the importance of giving back, and the shared meal underscored our commitment to the mission.
