In April 2025, a homeowner in Newburyport, MA, was looking to refresh their residential kitchen. The kitchen had grown noticeably outdated over time. The cabinets, while structurally sound, had an aged appearance that detracted from the overall aesthetic of the space. With the help of CertaPro Painters^® of Southern NH & Newburyport/Haverhill, we were able to provide the client with a modern, clean look without the cost or disruption of a full cabinet replacement.

Our Process

Upon arrival, our team assessed the kitchen and found that the cabinetry was well-worn, with visible aging on the surfaces. Though there was no major damage, the finishes were faded and dull, making the kitchen appear older than it was. The project involved cabinet sanding to remove the existing finish and smooth the surfaces. We repainted the cabinets to restore their appearance and used extensive surface preparation to give the aged cabinets a flawless look. Due to the attention to detail required, we took extra care in masking and protecting surrounding areas. To meet quality standards and avoid mess in the home, our team opted to spray-paint the cabinets off-site in a controlled environment. This technique allowed for a smoother, more durable finish while keeping the home clean.
