Sacred Heart Church
The Task:
Churches are places of worship, and as such, need to be maintained properly. When Sacred Heart Church of Manchester needed someone to restore their well-loved, but aging place of worship, they called on CertaPro Painters of Southern New Hampshire to restore the building to its former glory.
The Work:
Work began in January of 2021. Due to the church being three stories tall, and being narrow in some places due to the architecture, special equipment was brought in to help facilitate the work and ensure the safety of our experts. Some equipment used was a 9 foot long rolling pole, as well as a 24 foot tall ladder. Before any painting could commence, the team had needed to clean soot from the walls, but care needed to be taken so as not to damage the walls. Once the soot was cleaned, painting could finally begin, however special care was needed to preserve the red carpet, as well as the existing finishes on the wood and statues present. In addition to this, church services continued as the team worked through the week. Work was done when Service was not in session. Lastly, after carefully painting the walls, any cracks and holes that were found in the building and around it were patched up.
Final Result:
The professional team at CertaPro Painters of Southern New Hampshire, after carefully working for 8 days, completed updates to the Sacred Heart. View photos below for the care put into restoring this place of worship to its glory.
