Residential Case Study

Project: In late Summer of 2025, CertaPro Painters^® of South Charlotte, NC was hired to refresh the exterior doors and soffits of a nearby stucco home in Charlotte, NC. The wood surfaces were previously stained but had become weathered over time, with minor damage and uneven, faded color in some areas. The owner wanted to restain the garage doors and soffits, while also repainting the front door a rich red color.

Process: Our work involved stripping the garage doors of their previous coating and re-staining. The front door was stripped, cleaned, primed, and painted. Soffits around the exterior of the home were also scraped and re-stained.

The Challenges: Because some second-story soffits were above the Spanish tile roof, we could not access them safely with a ladder alone. We utilized a towable boom lift to safely reach these areas without damaging the roof.

Result: Over the course of 3 days, our team brought life back to the doors and soffits of this beautiful, suburban home. The front door was painted a striking shade of red, and the garage doors and soffits were stained a rich dark color that adds elegance to the property.
