Arizona Reflections is an HOA community in the east valley. The community was in need of a paint refresh on their block walls, wrought iron fencing, and monument areas.

Conditions:The community walls and iron have faded over the years. The two-color scheme had faded into a one-color look. There was moisture damage to many of the lower courses of the block, due to water intrusion from the resident side. The wrought iron was faded and chipping.
Challenges:
The challenge was to select the right color scheme to allow the community to stand out while adhering to community architectural guidelines and colors. It was necessary for a thorough pressure wash to take off the loose and peeling paint at the bottom courses of the wall.
Project Involvement:
This project involved thorough pressure washing and spot priming to the block. It also involved sanding, cleaning, spot-priming, and painting of the wrought iron fencing.
Special Challenges:
After pressure washing, all bare block areas needed to be spot primed prior to painting. This provided an extra layer of protection to the lower courses of walls that were peeling due to moisture seeping through the block.
