Our client had only recently purchased this home and wanted to give it a refreshing new look. From the walls to the ceilings, every inch of the interior needed careful attention and a thorough inspection. CHALLENGES:Rather than a simple painting job, our team was tasked with light maintenance and repairs all throughout the property. For example, replacing the wall sconces with light fixtures.
The tallest ceiling was over 20 feet high, so we had to use scaffolding in order to complete our drywall crack repairs. After repairs, painting the walls so high up was a task that required diligence and focus. Projects of this size also require proper coordination within the crew. Appropriate measures were taken to ensure the safety of the crew while maintaining high standards for overall quality of work.
CONDITIONS:
Aged Cabinets – The cabinets required deep maintenance and restoration.
Outdated Sconces – The client needed help installing light fixtures instead of sconces
Wall Speakers – After removing the speakers, our team patched the holes left in the wall.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
Wood Staining – The handrails on the staircase required our attention
Drywall Repairs – Removing the wall mounted speakers left holes in the wall that our team patched. Then we primed the new drywall before any painting could begin.
Painting – Ceilings, Walls, Cabinets, and Trims all needed to be painted throughout the property to give this residential home new life.
PROJECT TIMELINE – Approximately 2 weeks
Priming and Painting the Cabinets
When priming and painting cabinets, we remove each door and drawer and number them so we can reinstall each to its proper place. Then we scuff/sand and clean all areas to be primed and painted. After the cabinets are cleaned, we apply one coat of bonding primer. After a 24 hour drying time, we apply two coats of cabinet-grade urethane paint. After the paint has dried for 24-48 hours, we reinstall the cabinets doors and drawers. This is our standard operating procedure and as you can tell, it is a deeply involved and technical process.
