In January 2026, CertaPro Painters of North Scottsdale completed a three-week exterior wood trim painting project at Clearwater at Pinnacle, a senior living community in Scottsdale, Arizona. The large property features multiple elevations and extensive architectural wood trim.
Prior to the project, the stained wood trim showed visible signs of aging from years of Arizona heat and UV exposure, resulting in faded finishes that reduced curb appeal and protective performance. To restore the trim and improve long-term durability, the client chose to transition from a stained finish to a painted system designed to enhance appearance and reduce future maintenance needs.

Scope of the Work
The project began with power washing all wood trim to remove dirt, residue, and surface contaminants. Once clean and dry, surrounding stucco and metal elements were carefully masked to protect against overspray.
The team then applied one full coat of primer followed by two coats of paint using an airless spray system, ensuring even coverage, clean lines, and a durable finish designed to withstand Scottsdale’s climate.
Special Equipment & Techniques
Due to the height of certain sections of the building, specialized access equipment was required. A boom lift was used to safely reach higher elevations, while a smaller manlift was utilized within courtyard areas where space was more limited. This approach allowed the crew to work efficiently while maintaining safety and minimizing disruption to residents.
Airless spray equipment was used to achieve consistent coverage across large sections of wood trim. Careful masking and staging ensured a clean, professional result throughout the occupied senior living facility.
