In September 2025, CertaPro Painters® of Palatine, IL completed a full interior repaint for a beautiful home in Bartlett, Illinois. Over the course of three days, our team refreshed multiple living spaces with a clean, modern palette designed to brighten the home and elevate its style. The interior had become somewhat dated over time, and the homeowner wanted a crisp, cohesive look to complement the natural light and architectural details throughout.
By applying fresh coats of Sherwin-Williams Extra White in a semi-gloss finish, the crew transformed the home’s atmosphere—creating a bright, polished look that feels both timeless and inviting. Scope of the Work:
This comprehensive interior project included the bathroom, dining room, entry hall, family room, foyer, kitchen, kitchen hall, living room, office, rear hall, stairwell, and upstairs hall. Each space received two coats of paint over a primer base to ensure consistent color and smooth coverage.
As part of the preparation, our team sanded window sills down to bare wood before repainting for a flawless finish. The staircase received special attention as well, each spindle, handrail, and base was carefully sanded and refinished to achieve a seamless transformation. The combination of expert prep work and professional application resulted in a bright, clean finish that refreshed the entire home’s aesthetic.
Special Challenges & Solutions:
The greatest challenge on this project was the extensive sanding required to prepare the staircase and window sills. Each element of the stairwell had intricate surfaces that demanded patience and precision. Our crew used the proper sanding tools and techniques to reach detailed areas and ensure smooth, even surfaces before priming and painting.
This attention to detail allowed for a uniform finish across every painted surface, especially on high-contact areas like railings and trim. The final result was a sophisticated, durable finish that enhanced the home’s overall warmth and visual appeal.
