CertaPro Painters of San Antonio West is looking for a Production Associate (PA) for residential and commercial painting. This talented, self-motivated individual is responsible for all as painting production, including recruiting painters, managing customer expectations, creating job jackets, confirming job details, scheduling crews, conducting job site field reviews, ensuring safe work practices and work sites, "white space communications," acquiring payments and meeting gross margin targets. The role includes both in office administration and field visits to jobs sites. This position will be responsible for managing and checking on painting crews and customers daily. This person will directly oversee up to 10 painting crews.

Our ideal candidate is a driven and motivated "people person" with at least three years of production experience. He or she must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong presentation and writing skills, and have his or her own vehicle to use on the job. A college degree and industry knowledge are preferred, but not a requirement. Fluent English speaking and writing skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position. Spanish speaking and/or understanding is a plus.


What we're looking for

•Represent CertaPro Painters of San Antonio West, an independently owned and operated CertaPro Painters franchise, to all customers, suppliers, employees, etc. so as to differentiate ourselves from our competitors and to further enhance our “Brand of Certainty”.
•Service all prospective customers and customers with the objective of meeting/exceeding their painting needs and building customers for life.
•Service all employees with the objective of meeting/exceeding their needs and building an employee for life.
•Develop and maintain a close working relationship with the General Manager (GM), Sales Associate(s) to ensure that all expectations set with the employees and customers are met.
•Serves as the focal point for customer communication and contact post sale. This includes, but not limited to: 1) Coordination and scheduling of paint crew(s), 2) Collects and confirms all information to execute the project with the customer such as confirmation of colors, 3) Confirmation of paint crew paint orders with our paint vendors, 4) Prepares job information for hand-off to Job Site Supervisor (JSS) and 5) Job work order changes are reviewed, approved and executed appropriately.
•Leads production hand-off meetings with Franchise Owner, Residential and Commercials Sales Associates and Job Site Supervisor(s) as appropriate to ensure a flawless hand-off and job execution.
•Ensures that crews are producing jobs at or above gross margin
•Ensures that all assigned tasks are completed in a timely and professional manner.
•Actively maintains and manages the production schedule, responsible for priority management, coordinates the Rainy Day Plan (RDP) to ensure optimal productivity of the paint crews, ensures paint crews are fully trained and following the Certainty Services System (CSS) and conducts training and review meetings with the JSS.
•Assists franchise owner, JSS and residential and commercial sales associates in resolving customer concerns and issues.
•Updates various financial and operational systems and databases, such as the CRM, CertaOne Estimating and Job Site apps, in a timely manner and communicates concerns appropriately to the franchise owner.
•Ensure Job Jackets are up-to-date and accurate and includes the following information at a minimum, 1) Customer approved estimate, 2) Paint and material invoices, 3) Copies of customer payments and 4) Signed sub-contractor payment summary.
•Develop a recruiting, development, and retention program for the JSSs as well as properly on-board all JSSs to set them up for production success.
•Properly On-Board all JSSs following the JSS On-Boarding Guidelines and SOP.
•Assist with the recruitment of paint crews to support the annual business plan.
•Ensure all paint crews are creating, maintaining and operating in a safe work environment.
•The RPA is designated as the Safety Officer in the Franchise. Responsible for providing ongoing training and inspections related to safety, as well as conducting safety meetings.
•Responsible for ensuring that all crews are following Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) guidelines around Lead Safety, and possess and maintain the required Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).

General Job Responsibilities and Required Skills
  • High school diploma or GED required, advanced education degree, coursework, or technical school a plus
  • At least 2 years of experience in a service industry, especially in construction trades a plus
  • Construction industry knowledge preferred
  • Project Management experience a plus
  • Previous supervisory/management experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Highly organized, self-motivated and has a high sense of urgency
  • Strong attention to detail and quality conscious required
