Senior Assisted Living and Memory Care Complexes
Our professional painters had the opportunity to work on two large buildings: a Senior Assisted Living facility and a Memory Care facility in Charlotte, NC. The walls and trim had wear and tear caused by equipment relocation and halted repairs due to the COVID-19 shutdown. Additionally, the wall colors and ceiling texture were outdated. The property owners tasked us with repainting the walls, popcorn ceiling removal, and carpentry work repairs.
This project required extensive coordination with flooring contractors, residents, and employees to be as minimally disruptive as possible. As a result, the Property Management team was very pleased with how meticulous, precise, and efficient we were with both facilities.
CHALLENGES:
CHALLENGES:Large commercial projects provide their own set of challenges. For this project, our CertaPro Painters coordinated with both the Property Management team and residents in order to not disrupt their daily activities while working with repainting and repairing the facilities. Additionally, we had to coordinate with a flooring contractor who was also conducting work at the same time, work flexible schedules, and procure paint during a shortage.
CONDITIONS:
- Wall Repair – surface damage and scuffs due to equipment relocation.
- Texture Surface – Working with popcorn ceiling.
- Paint – Outdated, faded paint color.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
- Wall Repair – We had to correct defects on the walls, which included surface damage and scuffs.
- Interior Paint – We had to clean the surfaces and prime them for coats of the appropriate paint colors.
- PPE Prep – For cleanliness, we had to use stilts, masking, and covering.
