Our painters were recently contacted to update a 413,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility specializing in custom boxes and packaging supplies located in Statesville, North Carolina. The exterior of the manufacturing facility had chalking, peeling, faded paint and the customer wanted to update the exterior to be on brand with the new color scheme.
The exterior was pressure washed to clean the substrates for painting. The joints were caulked, prep work was completed such as masking and using plastic to protect areas not being painted. Due to the height of the building a hydraulic lift was needed to complete painting. Due to the nature of the business, detailed coordination between Certapro and the Client was required to complete the project. The plant operates 24 hours 7 days a week and has 3 shifts. Employee parking and deliveries had to be coordinated around the exterior painting project. Temperature had to be taken into consideration due to the project taking place in early spring.
A 60 foot lift was required along with spray and back roll application. Customer was extremely happy and rated the project 10 out of 10. We completed this project in just 3.5 weeks.
