A room-by-room guide to our interior pricing:

Many people want to understand our pricing to help them effectively budget their project, so we’ve assembled this room-by-room guide to help. Understand that the prices published here are averages, and some factors may increase or decrease the standard price from these ballpark estimates.

1. Project size and scope: The more surfaces and square footage we cover, the more it affects your price. Will we be painting walls, ceilings, trim, doors, baseboards, or crown molding? Each added surface adds to the total.

2. Height, accessibility, and difficulty: How easy a space is to reach matters. A standard 8-foot ceiling is quicker and easier to paint than a two-story foyer or stairwell that needs ladders, scaffolding, or other specialized equipment. Tight spaces, intricate trim, and hard-to-reach areas also take more time and skill, which can raise the price.

3. Surface condition and preparation: Standard interior preparation includes preparing surfaces to be painted and repairing minor imperfections such as nail holes, small dents, dings, and minor surface damage as needed to provide a clean, uniform surface for painting. More extensive drywall repairs, water damage, cracks, or significant surface repairs may require additional labor and cost.

4. Product selections: The paint or coating you choose plays a role in cost. Premium paints, specialty finishes, and high-durability products made for busy areas typically cost more than standard options.

5. Color changes: Additional coats may be required when there is a significant color change, such as transitioning from a dark color to a light color, a light color to a dark color, or when using certain vibrant or difficult-to-cover colors. Coverage requirements are evaluated based on the existing color, new color, and selected paint product.

These are just some of the factors that contribute to the price of painting the interior of your home. Below you will find some examples of some common-sized rooms. All wall, ceiling, and trim services are based on 2 coats of Sherwin Williams paint.

Our project minimum is $750. If the project requires painters to work above 10 feet on a ladder, a two-painter crew is required, increasing the project minimum to $1,500. 

Color Consultation: $125 with one of our interior design partners. For projects over $5,000, the $125 consultation fee is paid upfront and then credited toward the final project total, making the consultation complimentary when the project moves forward.
