What we're looking for
Sales & Estimating
• Become an expert on the CertaPro 10+1 Selling Competency Model
• Become an expert on the Certainty Service System
• Become an expert using CertaNotes estimating software
• Follow up on assigned sales leads, and schedule estimate appointments
• Conduct set up calls prior to each estimate
• Build rapport with your clients
• Leverage the client manual to showcase the values and benefits of working with CertaPro Painters
• Learn to sell the value of working with CertaPro Painters, do not just sell on price
• Deliver accurate and detailed proposal, including the Certainty Pledge on all scheduled estimate
• Schedule “thank you” email or letter within 24 hours after each estimate
• Follow up with customers after each estimate until job is “landed”, or you receive confirmation that the lead is “dead”
• Secure signed proposals on all landed jobs, and communicated “landed” status to Office Associate
• Assist in collecting any missing information, and updating any contracts that have identified issues
Customer Service & Crew Support
• Upon landing the job, clearly communicate to the customer the process going forward and introduce them to the individuals who will be taking care of them throughout the remainder of the project
• Communicate the scheduling preferences (or commitments) and needs of customer to the Office Associate
• Assist in securing completed Customer Color Confirmation sheet
• Ensure all landed jobs are “handed off” to the JSS or sub-contractor and that the proposal and Certainty Pledge are thoroughly reviewed
• Be available to assist JSS in handling questions or concerns with jobs once they have begun, and assist in handling customer complaints or concerns as needed.
• Be available to assist customer with any questions or concerns as the job is being produced (most should be handled by JSS and OA, but this adds an extra personal touch to their overall experience)
• Contact all customers upon completion of the job to ensure that their expectations were met, and when possible do this in person
Marketing & Lead Generation
• Actively pursue leads from Previous Customers and Previous prospects
• Actively solicit referrals from current and past clients
• Actively solicit “Word of Mouth” leads from your personal and professional networks
• Identify, coordinate, schedule and work local home shows, or festivals promoting CertaPro Painters and soliciting leads
• Participate in local networking group(s) promoting CertaPro Painters and soliciting leads
• Develop and execute grass roots marketing programs in your territory, including placement of signs, door hangers and other marketing materials
• Solicit leads through cold calling high quality subdivisions and homes
Administrative & Other
• Track & report sales performance against targets and standards
• Attend and prepare for weekly GS&R meetings with your supervisor
• Attend weekly hand-off or production meetings as required
• Attend staff meetings and events as needed & scheduled
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date calendar for estimate scheduling
• Take care of cleaning and maintenance of company car
• Assist in developing standards and policies for the sales department
• Available to assist in training and development of other sales associates
Performance Metrics
• Deliver annual sales target, as determined by your supervisor
• Maintain a closure rate (S/R) of greater than 50%
• Keep slippage to less than 10%
• Maintain a GM rate of greater than 45%
• Deliver a minimum of 10% of leads through networking, personal referrals, home shows, door hanging, cold calling
• Deliver NPS greater than 70%
Full-Time Employment:
The position of Residential Associate is a full-time, salaried position. As a “full-time” employee you will be expected to conduct a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Expect seasonal spikes during the spring and summer months, during this time expect to work at least 45 hours per week, or more as required to stay on top of the leads you are assigned
• Expect to work 1-2 early mornings per week for estimates, 1-2 evenings per week and 1-2 weekend days per month
• Employee must perform all aspects of the position satisfactorily, and they must comply with all company
policies, written or verbal. Failure to meet performance criteria or comply with policies may result in a
performance improvement plan, or termination of employment.
