Commercial Sales Associate

We're looking for a dynamic service-minded individual to join our sales team as a Commercial Sales Associate. You will be responsible for business development & clients relations, sales & estimating and customer service &production support. We are one of the largest painting contractors in the St. Louis Metro area, and we're looking for the right person to join our team and help us continue our aggressive growth.

What we're looking for

Your specific responsibilities will include:

Business Development & Client Relationships :
● Actively solicit leads from our existing network of clients and customers
● Actively solicit leads from new prospects and clients
● Create a business development strategy & calendar of events and activities that allow us to expand relationships with existing clients and build relationships with new clients
● Develop commercial marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and generate leads with current or potential clients (ex. Mail campaigns, email campaigns, or other)
● Develop and manage a commercial cold calling program
● Manage participation and networking activities for CAI, BOMA, IFMA and other commercial based networking organizations
● Visit client offices, conduct lunch and learns, and coordinate client entertainment events as approved and budgeted

Sales & Estimating:
● Become an expert at our 10+1 Selling Competency Model
● Become an expert using proprietary estimating software
● Follow up on assigned sales leads, and schedule estimate appointments
● Conduct set up calls prior to each estimate
● Perform 10-20 commercial estimates a week, on average during peak season, and likely slightly less during late fall and winter months
● Deliver accurate and detailed proposal
● Follow up with customers after each estimate until job is “landed”, or you receive confirmation that the lead is “dead” and done by someone else
● Secure signed proposals on all landed jobs, and communicated “landed” status to Production department

Customer Service & Production Support:
● Upon landing the job, clearly communicate to the customer the process going forward and introduce them to the individuals who will be taking care of them throughout the remainder of the project
● Assist Production department in securing all necessary information needed for successful production of jobs
● Ensure all landed jobs are “handed off” to the JSS or sub-contractor and be available to assist JSS in handling questions or concerns with jobs once they have begun and assist in handling customer complaints or concerns as needed.
