Cedar Siding Paint Renewal

Scope of the Work:

The project began with thorough preparation of the exterior surfaces, including washing the siding and overhead garage doors to remove chalking, mildew, and dirt. All loose and peeling paint was scraped or wire-brushed to create a firm base for the new finish.

Our crew then performed spot priming on bare wood and metal surfaces, with stain used for priming rough cedar where appropriate. Additional prep included caulking gaps and cracks with a textured sealant to reinforce areas where previous caulk had failed.

Once the prep work was complete, the exterior was painted using the Brush and Roll technique to achieve a durable, even finish.

Challenges & Solutions:

The cedar siding presented the primary challenge, as this material is naturally more prone to moisture-related issues and flaking paint.

To overcome this, our team committed extra time and diligence during the preparation phase. By carefully scraping, priming, and sealing vulnerable areas, we ensured that the new paint would adhere properly and deliver long-term protection.
