Painting for East Michigan Hospital
Featured Commercial Project in Auburn Hills, MI
Hospital Painting Project in Auburn Hills, MI
Local South East Michigan Hospital that required a rapid turn around painting project so patient traffic would not be negatively influenced. Entrance canopies were rusting and peeling paint. Structures were 10 to 20 feet off the ground. Substrates required power scrapping and sanding using wire wheels and metal grinders that removed the existing rust and prepared the surface. We used Sherwin Williams metal primer Pro Cryl to fully prepare the surface for our commercial painters to apply the top coat.
CHALLENGES:
The project was in a high traffic area of a local hospital, getting the job done quickly and in a way that minimized foot traffic was important.
The canopies were starting to rust and had peeling paint, they were also high off the ground. We utilized a boom lift to handle the hardest to reach places and sanded and scraped rusted areas away prior to painting.

- High foot traffic area
- Rust and failing paint
- 20ft highest point off the ground.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:

- Paint – Working on off hours and weekends the team completed the project ahead of schedule.
- Special equipment – An articulating boom lift was used to reach the top of the canopies
