CertaPro Painters® in Richardson, TX
Residential Full Exterior Painting Project
Located in the historic Old Lake Highlands neighborhood of Dallas, this 1951-built home spans 1200 square feet. Occupied by a young couple, the house had long awaited exterior updates and repairs. After diligent saving, they were finally able to undertake the project. Tasks included repairing wood, addressing extensive peeling paint, priming and painting the brick, and removing amateur paint jobs from the front door hardware and glass.
CHALLENGES:
The house had vegetation in contact with it as well as lots of clutter on the rear patio. Doors (both front and rear) needed extra prep. Carpentry to replace rotted soffits and fascia in a number of places.
CONDITIONS:
- Exterior Siding – This was an older home had wood rot that needed repairing to both the soffits and fascia. The siding was also dirty and before repainting needed power washing.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
- Priming – Priming was also added to the brick exterior, so the paint could adhere cleanly and for a long time.
- Full Exterior Paint – This project involved a full exterior siding painted update, in addition of an accent color on the fascia and gutters. Rear doors needed an extra amount of prep due to dog scratches and dirt.
PROJECT TIMELINE – 3 Days
