We were contacted to paint the entire exterior of Fossil’s American Distribution Center in Dallas. The building is approximately 220,000 square feet. Condition of Facility:
The building had not been painted in about 15 years, so it was faded with fair amount of rusting metal on bay doors and regular doors and peeling paint on much of the stucco surfaces. All seam joints and windows also needed to be re-chalked. The new paint scheme they approved modernizes the look of the building, making it consistent with the image Fossil wants to convey for its products.
Project Involvement:
- Power washing and painting all surfaces on the building: stucco walls, metal bay doors, metal doors, metal railings and stairs, bollards and columns. Scrapping peeling paint and flaking stucco.
- Re-caulking all seam joints in the stucco and all around the metal windows.
- Fossil does not own the building so the project required us to work not only with Fossil but with the company that actually owns the building.
- Working around their daily delivery schedules with large trucks coming and going every day.
Special Challenges & Equipment:
Two lifts were used. Industrial caulk of all the expansion joints in the stucco.
