Donovan True is the president of CertaPro Painting of Renton/Kent, WA. CertaPro Painting franchises are the largest residential painting company in the United States.
Born and raised in Midwest, I was involved in the trades early in life assisting in my father’s interior finishing business. I witnessed firsthand on how my parents built strong and meaningful customer relationships by delivering genuine, positive customer experiences. It was the relationships that helped my family’s business grow and most importantly survive during slower economic times. I learned at an early age that delivering customer value, meeting clear customer expectations, and operating with professionalism and integrity consistently is how you build trust and respect.
I am a graduate of The Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University and a MBA graduate of The New England College of Business and Finance. Before starting my own company, I worked in Supply Chain Management and gained experience in Project Coordination, Contractor Management and Facilities Management/Maintenance across North America. Utilizing the skills and experiences I developed both in school and in my professional career, I made the decision to acquire CertaPro Painting of Renton/Kent, WA. As a local business owner, I aspire to deliver trust, quality, integrity and certainty between painting contractors and our community. Since that point in time, our company has continued to grow and evolve into one of the largest Residential/Commercial Interior/Exterior painting contracting companies in the Southeastern Seattle suburbs. We paint, we love what we do and we take great pride in celebrating our results with our customers!
My wife and I live locally within the Southeastern Seattle suburbs and have two amazing middle school aged sons. As a family we are actively involved in the community. I have coached youth Basketball at the Issaquah Community Center for three seasons and I am the Head Wrestling Coach for Pacific Cascade Middle School in Issaquah. My sons enjoy Basketball, Wrestling, LaCrosse, and Cross-Country. You can always find the True family on the amazing trails of the Pacific Northwest.
