Residential HOA Case Study
The home was in very nice condition and recently repainted. The homeowner had already moved to BC Canada and contacted us to perform an emergency repaint due to a homeowners association (HOA) lean. The HOA did not approve the homes paint scheme as it did not comply with the HOA approved color palette. The homeowner contacted CertaPro Painters of Renton/Kent, WA to see if we could perform an urgent repaint so they could list the home for sale and comply with the HOA policy (remove the lean). We were able to quickly provide an estimate, started the project the following day and had the home complete before the end of the week resulting in a happy customer and a happy HOA.
CHALLENGES:
The only challenge with the urgency in which the homeowner wanted to have the home painted. Spring time in Renton is cool and wet (not ideal exterior painting conditions). We were able to wash the home in the rain and waited for the first nice weather window to repaint the home. We scheduled a larger crew to expedite the timeline and utilized quality Rodda paints formulated for application in cooler/wet conditions to ensure beautiful, protective and lasting finish.
CONDITIONS:
- Exterior Siding – This was an emergency repaint due to an HOA lean —painting over the pre-existing color.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
- Full Exterior Paint – We had to repaint the full exterior siding of the home and trim, in accordance with the HOA agreed colors.
EQUIPMENT:
- Multiple Ladders– We utilized multiple ladders so we could have painters spraying/back rolling the body and another team following up behind them painting in the trim.
- Rodda Paints – Paints engineered for application in cooler/moist conditions that would result in a beautiful, protective and lasting finish.
PROJECT TIMELINE – 3 Days
