Two Industrial Manufacturing Buildings Get a Colorful Repaint

When a pair of buildings dedicated to light manufacturing and construction services in Sparks were in need of expert commercial painting to enhance their looks the owner called CertaPro of Reno to get the job done. The buildings hadn’t been painted in many years and were a weathered shade of pink with a maroon band running along the top. The front of both buildings had an architecturally interesting series of slightly curved panel sections which was difficult to notice when painted a single color.

The owners decided to spice things up with a bold color palette that shared a shade of yellow between the two buildings to tie them together, and separate shades of red and blue for alternating panels on the front of each building to make each one unique. To further add interest the owner asked for a series of geometric shapes to be painted onto the sides in a number of different colors. The shapes were in the form of stripes, squares, triangles, and circles. The contrasting band of paint along the tops of both buildings was abandoned in the new design.

Three CertaPro painters using two 42ft. lifts went to work on the buildings, first prepping the surfaces and caulking as needed to prevent water intrusion and then painting. A bit of clever sketching was required to mark off the areas to be included in the geometric shapes. a small nail was fastened to one wall with a piece of string and pencil on the other end to trace a perfect circle on one of the exterior walls. Once the nail hole was caulked the outline for the circle was left providing a clear indication of where the paint color needed to be applied.

After the project was completed the buildings looked neat and eye-catching. The building owners were very pleased with the results, the cost, and the quick turnaround.
