Revitalizing a Weathered Radville Home
In September 2025, our team completed a three-day transformation of a home in Radville, Saskatchewan. The property had gone many years without maintenance, and its exterior showed the effects of significant neglect.
With paint blistered, peeling, and missing in several places, the house lacked curb appeal and stood out in the neighbourhood for the wrong reasons. The homeowner wanted to restore the look of the property, improve its street presence, and add lasting protection for years to come.
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
Because of the home’s condition, this project required extensive preparation. Our crew spent much of the first stage scraping and sanding away layers of dried, flaking paint until the wood surface was clean and ready for new coatings.
Once the surface was prepared, we carefully masked and prepped the home for a professional spray application. To ensure complete coverage and long-term adhesion, we combined spraying with backrolling, which allowed the paint to penetrate the dry wood effectively. The final finish gave the home a dramatic facelift, completely revitalizing its appearance.
CHALLENGES & SOLUTIONS:
The greatest challenge was the condition of the underlying wood. Years of exposure had left the surface extremely dry and weathered, making it difficult to achieve proper adhesion. By using a spray-and-backroll technique, our painters were able to work the paint deep into the wood grain, ensuring a uniform and durable finish. What began as a severely worn and neglected exterior was successfully restored into a refreshed, attractive home that once again enhances its neighbourhood.
