SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
The restoration involved comprehensive surface preparation across all siding and trim. Our team scraped and sanded the entire exterior to remove layers of deteriorated paint and ensure proper adhesion for new coatings. Once prepped, the home received a complete repaint, using high-quality materials to restore the rich color and character befitting a property of its age and significance.
Additional work included caulking cracked and dry areas, repairing minor imperfections, and refinishing detailed trim elements to achieve a uniform finish. Every surface, from ornate woodwork to hard-to-reach eaves, was given detailed attention to ensure that the craftsmanship matched the home’s historic elegance.
CHALLENGES & SOLUTIONS:
Due to the property’s layout, lift equipment could not be brought into the yard, which made access to certain elevations particularly challenging. Our crew overcame this obstacle by using 40-foot ladders and spray extensions, allowing safe and effective coverage on all upper sections of the home.
Working on a heritage property also required a careful approach to preserve historical details while addressing modern durability needs.
