CertaPro Painters Case Study: Dover Township Community Center Renovation
CertaPro Painters recently completed a comprehensive interior and exterior painting and renovation project for the Dover Township Community Center in Dover, PA. The center is a large facility located within a park setting, with both indoor and outdoor spaces, including a pavilion, event hall, library, offices, and a fire station. The scope of work involved multiple tasks ranging from surface repairs and priming to painting various structures across the facility.
About the Project:
Project Involvement:
The project at Dover Township Community Center involved both interior and exterior renovations. For the exterior, CertaPro Painters refreshed the old, faded metal siding, doors, gutters, and downspouts to match a newly constructed section, and painted the fire station’s garage doors “firehouse red” for emphasis. Inside, the team removed sound panels and cove base, repaired drywall cracks, prepped CMU block areas, and painted the original wooden doors “burgundy” to align with the township’s color scheme. The work was completed efficiently to accommodate the flooring vendor’s schedule before the rental season started.
Special Challenges:
The height of the ceilings, reaching 12 feet, required extensive ladder work for both the interior and exterior tasks. Coordinating our timeline with the flooring vendor and other contractors was essential to ensure the project was completed before the rental season began. We used ladders and sanders.
Project Timeline:
Overall we finished the project within 2 weeks.
