Green Springs Rod & Gun Club is a private (members only) gun range & club. They also host many events and classes that are open to club members as well as the General Public.
Our team at CertaPro Painters was contacted by the Board in July 2021 to do a full exterior repaint of the CMU block walls, doors, windows, and trim. The Board wanted the front porch ceiling and metal posts painted as well. The Board had decided it was time for a facelift and new colors were chosen to replace the multiple layers of dark green walls and trim with something more modern, yet still keep an “outdoorsy” appearance.
The project started in Fall 2021. The building was first pressure washed to remove all old paint and debris. Due to the fact the building had old, rusted metal windows, they needed to be scraped, caulked, primed, then coated with a urethane alkyd paint. There were also areas of new CMU block that had never be painted. These areas were primed with a masonry primer, then a topcoat of a high-grade Sherwin Williams Masonry Coating was applied. The underside of the porch ceiling was prepped and sprayed to match the wall color and the posts were painted to match the window color.
Overall, the project took two painters three days to complete. The transformation was amazing and the colors were a perfect match for an outdoor setting. The board was very pleased with transformation, color, and had nothing but positive comments regarding the work ethic, speed, and communication of the crew.
