Commercial Case Study – Alden Place Homeowners Association

CertaPro Painters of Reading renovated a large ballroom at Alden Place Homeowners Association, a 55+ community in Lebanon, PA. The room was outdated, with worn carpets and scuffed walls. We repainted the walls, doors, windows, and trim using high-gloss finishes as directed by the corporate designer. We also worked with a local lumber yard to create and install five custom wooden trim boxes with wallpaper panels on the main stage wall. The project followed the designer’s plan and resulted in a fresh, modern ballroom for the community.

About the Project:

Project Involvement:

Following the design plan (paint spec) from corporate for walls, soffit, doors, and trim, we prepped the drywall and trim for painting and taped off the accent walls. We worked with a local lumber yard and estimator to create custom trim boxes. The carpentry work involved accurately measuring, centering, and installing the five custom trim boxes on the main stage wall. Finally, we sized and hung 5’x7′ wallpaper panels within each trim box.

Special Challenges:

The ballroom had newly installed carpet, so we took extra care to avoid disturbing it while using baker scaffolding for the 15-foot ceilings. All carpet and the wooden ballroom floor were fully covered. Installing the custom trim boxes was a bit challenging, as it had to be done not only from the scaffolding but also on the inclined stage ramp.

Project Timeline:

Overall we finished the project within 6 days.
