Exterior Painting of U-Haul in Staten Island, NY

Project: U-Haul tasked us with painting their new 7-story building in Staten Island that they have been working on for the last 2 years. The project involved power washing and exterior painting.

Process: The initial phase involved cleaning the building’s exterior thoroughly to remove dirt and grime using power washing techniques to ensure a clean surface for painting. With the 7-story height of the building, specialized equipment like a 135-foot articulating boom lift, an 85-foot straight boom lift, an 80-foot articulating boom lift, and a 60-foot scissor lift was necessary. All lift operators underwent strict certification processes to ensure safety while working at elevated heights. The windy conditions in the area limited certain painting techniques, leading us to rely on brushing and rolling for precision and control in application. Maintaining a commitment to safety, all crew members involved in the project were required to be OSHA certified. This certification ensured that the team adhered to industry-standard safety protocols to minimize risks and ensure a secure working environment. Recognizing the magnitude of the project, we collaborated with another CertaPro franchise owner to combine resources and expertise. This partnership allowed us to pool our strengths and deliver a comprehensive solution that met and exceeded the client’s expectations.
