Mokena School District #159 in Mokena, IL

Challenges

Mokena School District #159 tasked us with repainting 3 of their storage containers. Unfortunately, all of the storage containers had heavy rusting, meaning the paint would have trouble adhering. Additionally, the painting was to be completed in June, so we had to work through and around extreme heat throughout the day, which could cause paint defects and/or a bad finish.

The Work

Before beginning any painting, we had to properly prep the containers to rid them of rust. Without rust, we’d have a way better painting surface, meaning we’ll have a much better finish. To combat heat, we decided to work early in the morning when the sun was not as strong.

Final Results

At the end, the work was completed in June 2024 and took us 2 days. The school district was extremely happy with the finished product.
