Clock Tower Pointe Condominiums in Countryside, IL

Challenges

The major challenge we faced was that there was extensive caulk failure along much of the original trim work, which was a major concern of all residents. Additionally, all surfaces had the original builders’ paint work, meaning we had to properly prepare and prime all surfaces so that our painting would not only stick over the original work but would last for years to come.

The Work

Before beginning our painting, we had to remove all of the old caulk around the trim so we could give it the best appearance possible. Next, we prepared and primed all surfaces so that we could put a fresh coat of paint over the existing paint. Finally, we began to paint everything in the building, including the ceilings, walls, crown molding, chair rail, wainscoting, doors, and the front and rear stairways for all 6 stories.

Final Results

At the end, we finished our work in February 2024 with the project taking 10 days to complete. The building’s owners and residents alike were very happy with the results.
