Box Elder Middle School Locker Repainting Project
In June of 2022, CertaPro Painters® of Davis/Weber Counties, UT was contacted to repaint the lockers in a suburban middle school that is home to almost 1,100 students. The lockers were a plain shade of beige and suffering from all the wear and tear that middle schoolers can dish out.
Before the Painting Started…
The prep work for a unique project like this required the removal of all the locking hardware from 856 lockers located throughout the school. The areas above and below the lockers was taped off and covered in paper to prevent paint from getting onto the floor or ceiling. The lockers are made of metal and also required being lightly sanded to create a good surface for the new paint to bond to.
After the Prep and Painting
After the lockers were painted a bold shade of purple that is the schools signature color, they were allowed to dry and had their hardware re-attached. The results were fantastic, with a fun color and a glossy smooth finish.
