Cabinetry Prep Steps:
Step 1: Remove all hardware and hinges
Step 2: Mask and cover surrounding kitchen surfaces and cabinet interiors if not being painted.
Step 3: Scuff sand all surfaces to be painted (doors, drawer fronts, casings)
Step 4: Caulk seams and bondo imperfections on cabinets and casings
Step 5: Airless spray oil based or shellac primer coats on surfaces to be painted
Step 6: Allow prime coats to dry
Step 7: Airless spray waterborne alkyd urethane or lacquer top coats on cabinetry surfaces
Step 8: Remove paper, tape, and plastic from kitchen surfaces
Step 9: Re-install hinges and hardware on cabinet doors and drawer fronts
